Rockwell Collins delivers 737 NG simulator to Pan Am International Flight Academy
ORLANDO (April 27, 2010) - Rockwell Collins has delivered an advanced EdgeTM 737 NG Full Flight Simulator (FFS) to the Pan Am International Flight Academy's North American training center in Miami,
marking the U.S debut of the new system. The announcement was made today at the World Aviation Training Symposium (WATS).
The Edge 737 NG FFS, introduced by Rockwell Collins in 2009, is expected to achieve Level D certification by the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) this May.
"We developed our Edge full flight simulator from a clean-sheet design and have been getting outstanding feedback on its capabilities,
ease of use and flexibility in creating tailored programs for the end user," said Ken Schreder, vice president and general
manager of Simulation and Training Solutions for Rockwell Collins. "The delivery to Pan Am is especially important to us as
we look to introduce more training centers and pilots to the advanced capabilities of this system."
