AN/ARC-220(V)1, AN/ARC-220(V)2, AN/ARC-220(V)3, AN/ARC-220(V)4 High Frequency (HF) Airborne Communications System

822-0831-001, 822-0831-002, 822-0831-005, 822-0831-006

Overview

Trust the standard high-frequency radio of U.S. Army aviation platforms – the AN/ARC-220 Advanced HF Aircraft Communications System from Rockwell Collins. Easy to operate and multifunctional, the AN/ARC-220 is a fully digital signal processing (DSP) high-frequency radio that gives you two-way communication over the 2.0000 to 29.9999 MHz high-frequency range. By automatically transmitting digital data position reports at specified intervals, it provides on-the-ground enhanced situational awareness at a lower cost.

The AN/ARC-220 also offers you advanced communications features such as embedded Automatic Link Establishment (ALE), serial tone data modem and anti-jam (ECCM) functions that can be used for tactical rotary wing and fixed-wing applications. AN/ARC-220 and AN/VRC-100 were specifically designed for use with external COMSEC equipment, such as the KY-100, to allow for seamless secure digital voice and data operation. The AN/VRC-100 Ground/Transportable HF System is the complement of the airborne AN/ARC-220 system.
